Deleting your account
You can delete your Atlas account at any time, from inside the app. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.
What happens
- Your profile, check-ins, follows, badges and preferences are deleted.
- Your reviews stay, with your name removed from them.
- Photos you added to a venue or artist stay with that venue or artist.
- This cannot be undone, and the same handle may not be available again.
Reviews are anonymised rather than removed because venue ratings are built from them; deleting them would silently change every affected venue’s rating.
How to delete it
- Open Atlas and sign in.
- Go to Profile → Settings → Delete account.
- Type your handle to confirm, then choose Delete my account.
You will be asked to type your own handle as confirmation, and your sign-in must be recent — if you have been signed in for a while you may be asked to sign in again first. Both are deliberate: deletion is irreversible, so it should be hard to do by accident and impossible to do to someone else’s account.
Open Atlas to delete your account
Not signed in? You need to be signed in to delete an account, because that is the only way we can confirm it is yours. Open Atlas, sign in, and follow the steps above.
No handle on your account? There is nothing to confirm against, so the in-app flow cannot run. Email atlaslivehtx@gmail.com and we will delete it for you.
